Energy drinks are marketed primarily to teens and young adults, but plenty of younger children are drinking them too. Unlike sodas, energy drinks are considered a supplement instead of a food, and are not regulated. Many don't even list the amount of caffeine they contain. Energy drinks are an increasing cause of calls to poison control centers around the US.
